APEX™ FOR INTERMITTENT HIGH-SPEED SLOT APPLICATION

ITW’s Dynatec APEX™ intermittent high-speed slotting applicator beats other solutions in its class and at a lower cost, which translates to the best value among products available in the industry. There are two factors that must be controlled in any hot melt adhesive job: product waste and adhesive waste. APEX™ is unrivalled here with its clean, clear glue cut-off. Our design incorporates reverse-action modules and optimised pattern-specific channels, which operate in a way that is only available to equipment from ITW Dynatec. APEX™ applicators have been tested under real-world conditions with a wide range of adhesives and substrates. They have been shown to minimise adhesive and product waste, resulting in significant savings for customers every day.

BF MARATHON SLOT DIE™ ADHESIVE APPLICATOR

The BF Marathon Slot Die™ applicator module is designed as an air-operated opening and closing system in which the closing of the bore during operation does not depend on spring action. This results in a cleaner cut-off with improved performance and extended service life. While this type of function can be optional on competitor modules, only ITW Dynatec offers it as standard on the BF Mod-Plus Marathon™ adhesive applicator. The assembly includes a set of 5 brass locating washers, which can be easily cut to the width to suit the customer’s needs.

EQUITY C™ SLOT APPLICATOR FOR CONTINUOUS APPLICATION

The Equity™ continuous slot die coating head (slot die) is a reliable applicator with a long service life equipped with many cost-saving features. This makes it unrivalled in its class in terms of the benefits it brings. The durability of the unit is matched by an accuracy of ±10% of adhesive distribution across the web. ITW Dynatec has designed the Easy-Cut Shim system to give customers the flexibility they need. Our shims are available in solid bronze and stainless steel versions. They are perforated to make them easy to cut and ensure an exact fit. These shims are offered in a standard thickness of 0.15 mm and in thicknesses of 0.20, 0.30, 0.40 and 0.50 mm. Our easy-cut pads are ideal for simple pattern applications, but can also be customised for specific, more complex patterns without perforations if that is the customer’s need.
