Foils
Faitech, technical foils
This is a wide range of customised foils solutions (single or multilayer foils) developed for niche markets or for exclusivity and in collaboration with customers.
Some examples: heat resistant foils, chemical resistant foils, gas insulating foils, sunlight barrier foils, sublimation barrier foils, superelastic foils, high adhesion foils, antibacterial foils, transparent foils, etc.
Main usage:
Automotive: heat-resistant, heat insulating, oil and petrol barrier foils, non-PVC applications
Curtains: Blackout and transparency foils, sunlight barrier foils
Material for antibacterial foils for hospitals, chemical resistant foils, gas insulating foils, superelastic foils
Barrier films for sublimation for the food industry
Boatbuilding industry: film for sails, tear-resistant thermal adhesive supports, hull protection, film with high adhesion surface.
Faiterm, thermo adhesive films
Faiterm is a broad family of single or multilayer thermoadhesive foils (adhesives), which can have different chemical compositions to allow good bonding of similar and different materials.
FAITERM foils application is a simple combination of just 3 basic elements: temperature, pressure and time.
The right balance between the parameters allows adequate adhesion to be achieved with little or no environmental impact.
FAITERM foils are manufactured using a thermoplastic process that requires no solvents or water. Faiterm foils are solid and dry, requiring no evaporation or reduction process at the end user during application.
Main usage:
Automotive: door panels, luggage racks, car mats, seats, insulation components, heavy weights, car interior and bonnet components, etc.
Footwear industry: sports, trekking and classic footwear, boots.
Fashion industry: decorations for leather and textile bags, suitcases, lightweight dresses, bras, labels and decorations.
Furniture: laminates, parquet, office furniture, wallpaper.
Childcare: high chairs and playpens.
Military: bulletproof vests, bulletproof panels, reinforcements.
Other applications: composites, aluminium, glass, wood, foams, decorative laminates, sponges.
Faitex, breathable membranes
The membranes are very thin layers with excellent hydrophilic properties (vapour permeability only) and at the same time very good barrier properties to water and wind.
Faitex membranes have the following properties:
Breathability: the hydrophilic component of the Fait Plast membrane only allows perspiration or water to pass from the inside of the membrane to the outside, but does not allow water or sweat droplets to pass through, creating a feeling of dryness and comfort .
Waterproof: the membrane also withstands water penetration during harsh weather conditions and guarantees complete protection from the elements.
Wind Barrier: Faitplast membranes provide textiles with a strong wind barrier even in harsh conditions, resulting in a comfortable microclimate inside the garment while maintaining a high level of breathability.
Washability: Faitex membranes retain their properties even after many washings and dry-cleaning, ensuring a long product life.
Main usage:
Leisure and sports clothing: jackets, mackintoshes, caps, windcheaters, gloves and boots
Tendering: military uniforms, police uniforms, workwear
Medical applications: medical aprons, plasters, medical drapes and medical clothing
Protective clothing: jackets, windbreakers, gloves and boots
Faitgom, polyurethane foils
Faitgom is a family of thermoplastic polyurethane (tpu) foils that combine the advantages of plastics and the best properties of vulcanised rubber. They are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding markets. Many years of experience in engineering and foils production allow Faitplast to introduce a wide range of products that improve both the manufacturing process and the performance of our customers’ products. The polymeric backing of Faitgom foils are divided into polyester (high resistance to abrasion and hydrocarbons), polyether (high resistance to hydrolysis and bacteria and excellent flexibility), aliphatic (excellent UV resistance). Special Faitgom types can combine the main characteristics of polyester and polyether. Faitgom foils can be easily applied using our customers’ existing technologies, such as flame, calender, hot melt and solvent lamination. Faitgom foils can be sealed with other materials, thermoformed, foamed in dies and sealed to each other. Easy application allows further processing after the first application due to the thermoplastic nature of the polymer.
Main usage:
Foam and fabric lamination: textiles for automotive, seats, door panels, luggage shelves, armrests, headrests, sound insulation, lumbar supports, etc.
Textile lamination: clothing, bag upholstery, shoes, outdoor camping, pontoons, conveyor belts and technical field.
Healthcare and hygiene applications: incision drapes, plasters, decubitus mattresses, breast implant coverings, mattress covers, blood bags and medical valves.
Labels and heat-seal marks
Footwear: sole coverings
